Technology

Frontend & Game: Next.js, TypeScript, React

Real-Time Multiplayer: WebSocket-based communication

Server: Railway

Deployment: Vercel + Railway

The Next.js application handles the game interface and client-side rendering, while the Railway-hosted server manages multiplayer rooms, player connections, and real-time game state.

Why I Built It

FlappyLove started as a small browser-game experiment and evolved into a practical project for exploring real-time multiplayer architecture.

The project gave me an opportunity to work with concepts such as WebSockets, room management, synchronized game sessions, server-authoritative state, reconnection handling, and multiplayer performance.

It also demonstrates how a relatively simple game can be extended into a real-time multiplayer web application.
